Custom Pillow Boxes in Chicago
Chicago is a confectionery city and it shows in the enquiries — boxed chocolate, caramel, popcorn, hard candy and the seasonal gift ranges built around them. It is also a trade show city, which produces a second and quite different requirement: cheap sampling packs in large quantities, needed by a fixed date.
The two briefs pull in opposite directions. A gift box justifies a fitted tray and foil; a sampling pack needs to cost as little as possible while still carrying a website address. We would rather quote them as two products than compromise into one.
Quote for delivery to Chicago
Production and transit quoted as one date, so you can plan around it rather than around a production time.
What a fitted tray actually prevents
In boxed confectionery the failure customers notice is never the carton. It is pieces that have moved: scuffed shells, dusting transferred onto neighbors, a selection that has rearranged itself into a corner.
A tray with an individual recess per piece prevents all of it, and it costs a fraction of the box. On any selection above two pieces it is the highest-return decision available.
Trade show sampling packs
- Small enough to hand over and carry without a bag
- One or two colors, because the fixed costs dominate at these volumes
- A standard aperture rather than a bespoke die
- Enough printed area for a website and a contact route
- Ordered against the event date, with a proofing round built in

View optionsSupplying Chicago: common questions
Why do my chocolates arrive scuffed?
Because they are moving inside the box. A fitted tray with a recess per piece stops it, far more effectively than a stronger carton.
How cheap can a sampling pack be?
Cheaper than most people expect, if the specification is simplified — one or two colors and a standard die. At sampling volumes the fixed costs are the price.
Can you meet a fixed trade show date?
Tell us the event date rather than your preferred delivery date. We plan backward from it and include a proofing round, because approvals are what usually slip.
Do I need a food-grade box?
Only where the confectionery touches the board directly. Wrapped or cased pieces make the box a secondary pack, with a simpler specification.
Do you have a Chicago facility?
No. We supply Chicago producers and ship to Chicago addresses; we do not operate premises in the city.
