More of our California work is beauty than anything else. Skincare, color cosmetics, lash and brow, and the long tail of independent brands that launch on their own storefront before they ever reach a shelf — the state produces more of them than anywhere else we ship to.
That has a specific consequence for packaging. A beauty pack carries a heavy mandatory copy load, and California brands frequently add state-specific warning language on top of the federal requirements. We plan the reverse panel around all of it before the front is designed, because retrofitting a warning onto a finished layout is how a print run gets scrapped.

Launching before you have a shelf
The typical California brief reaches us before the product has any retail distribution. The pack has to work as a product photograph, as an unboxing video, and as something that survives a carrier network on its own — three jobs a traditional retail carton was never designed for.
In practice that pushes the specification toward a sealed postal closure, a printed interior, and a finish that photographs cleanly under ring light. All three are cheap relative to the difference they make to a launch.

Will my ingredient list and warnings fit on a small pillow box?
That depends on the length of the list and the minimum type size you need. It is the first thing we check, and if it will not fit legibly we will say so and suggest a larger format or a folded insert leaflet rather than shrinking the type.
Can the box ship directly to my customers?
With a postal specification, yes — a sealed closure, an address panel and board chosen for the journey. Details are on our postal pillow pack page.
What finish photographs best for launch imagery?
A matte laminate. Gloss and soft-touch both create problems under studio lighting — gloss flares and soft-touch shows every fingerprint from handling during a shoot.
Do you have a California facility?
No. We supply California brands and ship to California addresses; we do not operate premises in the state.
Can you match the color of my product to the box?
Closely, with a Pantone spot ink, and more reliably if you send a physical sample of the product rather than a screen value.
