Designing for a narrow panel
The usable print area on a long box is a horizontal strip. A stacked logo with a tagline underneath will not fit; a horizontal lockup will. Most brands with a vertical logo need a second, horizontal version for this format, and it is worth creating one properly rather than letting a printer squeeze the original.
The other useful move is to treat the length as a design feature — a repeating pattern, a rule running the full span, or type set along the axis. Both approaches turn the constraint into something deliberate.
Holding the contents still
A long narrow box with a bracelet loose inside it is the single most common failure in this format. The product slides end to end, arrives bunched at one tuck, and the presentation is gone.
A printed insert card solves it completely. The product is tied, clipped or slotted to the card, the card fills the box, and the whole thing presents flat the moment it is opened. It also gives you a second printed surface, which a narrow box badly needs.

Will a bracelet move around inside?
Without an insert, yes. A printed card that the product is tied to fills the box and presents the item flat when opened. It is inexpensive and it transforms the unboxing.
Can a long box go on a peg hook?
Yes, with a hang hole or euro slot punched at one end. Check that the reinforced area is specified, or the hole will tear under weight.
Is a long box suitable for a chocolate bar?
