Custom Pillow Boxes for Australian Brands

Two things distinguish Australian packaging work. The first is heat: a delivery van in an Australian summer reaches temperatures that soften chocolate, warp wax and lift some adhesives, and packaging specified for a temperate climate does not always account for that.

The second is the seasonal calendar, which is inverted relative to our other markets. Christmas is a summer event, which affects both what sells and how packaging behaves in transit, and it catches out suppliers who plan an Australian range from a northern-hemisphere template.

Pricing for Australia delivery

Tell us the product and the market and we will quote production and transit as a single date.

PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, JPG, PNG or ZIP, up to 12 MB. Nothing to send yet is fine — we can quote from a description.

We reply with a written quote and a specification. Your details are used to answer this enquiry and nothing else — see our privacy policy. You can also email info@thepillowboxes.com.

Specifying for heat

No paperboard box insulates meaningfully, so packaging cannot prevent a heat problem. What it can do is limit the visible consequences: a snug internal fit stops a softened product deforming into an odd shape, a fitted tray keeps pieces from sticking to each other, and an adhesive chosen for higher temperatures will not release in a hot warehouse.

If your product is temperature-sensitive, say so in the enquiry. It changes the fit tolerance and sometimes the adhesive, and it is much cheaper to specify than to discover.

Common Australian requirements

  • Heat-aware fit tolerances and adhesive selection
  • Longer transit planning, both internationally and domestically
  • Metric dimensions as standard
  • A summer Christmas calendar, which shifts seasonal ordering
  • Recyclability, which Australian retail buyers ask about routinely

Supplying Australia: common questions

Will the packaging cope with Australian summer heat?

The board is unaffected. The product inside may not be, and no carton at this scale insulates. What we can do is specify a fit and an adhesive that limit the visible consequences — tell us if your product is heat-sensitive.

Do you deliver to all states and territories?

Yes. Domestic transit varies considerably by destination, particularly to regional and remote addresses, and it is quoted with the job.

How does the summer Christmas affect ordering?

The shelf date is the same but the conditions are not — heat in transit matters far more for a December delivery in Australia than in the northern hemisphere. Plan for it in the specification, not just the schedule.

Do you work in metric?

Yes, and Australian specifications almost always arrive that way. Inches are workable too if that is how your artwork is set up.

Do you have an Australian office?

No. We serve the Australian market and ship to Australian addresses; we do not operate premises there.

What about recyclability?

A fully paper-based, unlaminated specification with no film window is available and is what most Australian retail buyers are asking about. What it can honestly claim is set out on our recyclable specification page.
