Custom Pillow Boxes for Illinois Businesses
Illinois has a long association with confectionery manufacturing, and the packaging enquiries that reach us from the state reflect it — chocolate, hard candy, caramel and boxed selections, from small producers through to established regional names.
It is a category where the internal structure matters more than the outside. A selection box with pieces that slide arrives scuffed; the same box with a fitted tray arrives as it left. That is where we spend most of the specification effort on Illinois work.
Quote for delivery to Illinois
Production and transit quoted as one date, so you can plan around it rather than around a production time.
The tray does more than the box
In boxed confectionery the visible failure is almost never the carton. It is pieces that have moved — scuffed shells, transferred dusting, a selection that arrives rearranged. All of that is a tray problem.
A die-cut tray with a recess per piece holds each one clear of its neighbors and clear of the box faces. It costs a fraction of the box and it is the single highest-return decision in this category.
Trade show and sampling packs
Illinois hosts a lot of trade events, and sampling packaging has its own requirements:
- Small enough to hand over and carry away without a bag
- Cheap enough that a few thousand is not a significant cost
- Enough printed area to carry a website and a contact route
- Robust enough to survive a day in a tote bag
- A common box with a variable printed band, so one run covers several products

View optionsSupplying Illinois: common questions
Why do my chocolates arrive scuffed?
They are moving inside the box. A fitted tray with a recess per piece stops it, and it is far more effective than a stronger carton.
Do you make trays as well as boxes?
Yes, and we quote them together — the tray has to be cut to the finished internal dimensions, which are not the same as the flat dieline figures.
What is a sensible sampling pack for a trade show?
A small common box with a printed band that changes per product. It keeps the box run large and cheap while letting you cover a range without separate print runs.
Do I need a food-grade specification?
Only if the confectionery touches the board directly. Foil-wrapped or cased pieces make the box a secondary pack, with a simpler and cheaper specification.
Do you have an Illinois plant?
No. We supply Illinois customers and ship to Illinois addresses; we do not operate a facility in the state.
