Terms and Conditions

1. Quotations

A quotation states a specification and a price for that specification. It is valid for the period stated on it. Changing any part of the specification — size, board, quantity, printing, finishing, inserts or destination — changes the price, and we will re-quote rather than absorb or assume.

2. Orders and acceptance

An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing against a stated specification. Where a quotation and a purchase order disagree, the quotation specification governs unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

3. Artwork and approval

You are responsible for the content of the artwork you supply, including its accuracy, its legality, and any claims, certification marks or regulatory information printed on it. We will raise technical problems we notice and will not knowingly print an unsubstantiated certification claim, but the content of your artwork remains yours.

Production runs against the proof you approve. Once a proof is approved, changes may not be possible and may carry a cost.

4. Color and material tolerances

Printed color is subject to normal commercial tolerance. A screen cannot match ink on board exactly, and where color accuracy matters we will supply a printed draw-down for approval — approval of a screen proof is not approval of color. Board shade, particularly on recycled and uncoated stocks, varies within normal supply tolerance.

5. Quantity tolerance

Custom print runs are subject to a normal over- or under-run tolerance, which is stated on your quotation. Where an exact minimum quantity is essential, tell us before ordering so we can allow for it.

6. Tooling

Cutting dies and any foil or embossing dies are charged once and retained by us for reorders of the same design. Retention does not transfer ownership of the tooling.

7. Delivery

Delivery dates on a quotation include production and transit and are given in good faith. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather or other matters outside our control, and we will tell you as soon as we are aware of one.

8. Inspection, damage and shortages

Check deliveries against the stated carton count on arrival. Notify us of damage or shortage within a reasonable period, with photographs of the goods and the outer packaging, so the claim can be directed correctly.

9. Payment

Payment terms are stated on your quotation or invoice. Custom-manufactured goods are made specifically to your specification and are not returnable except where they do not conform to that specification.

10. Liability

Our liability in respect of any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost sales. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your artwork and trade marks. You confirm that you have the right to use what you send us, and that printing it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
