Custom Pillow Boxes in Austin
Austin sends us a lot of first orders. Small-batch food, beverage adjacent products, maker brands moving from a market stall to a shelf — customers who are ordering printed packaging for the first time and do not yet know which questions matter.
That is a good conversation to have properly. Most of the money on a first run is spent on things that do not need to be there, and most of the disappointments come from three or four decisions that are easy to get right if someone flags them.

Production and transit quoted as one date, so you can plan around it rather than around a production time.
The four decisions that matter on a first run
-
Board weight, chosen from the filled weight
Not from the dimensions. It is the single most common cause of a disappointing first order.
-
Number of colors
Two colors done well beats four done thinly, and it is dramatically cheaper at low volume.
-
Where the mandatory copy goes
Nutrition panels and ingredient lists have a minimum legible size. Lay them out first.
-
Whether it ships or sits on a shelf
Those are two different specifications, and buying the wrong one is expensive.
What we will tell you without being asked
- When a specification is more than your product needs
- When a design will not reproduce the way the proof suggests
- When a finish will not survive the way you plan to sell
- When the quantity you have asked for is the wrong break point
- When a pillow box is not the right structure at all

What should I get right on a first packaging order?
Board weight from the filled weight, the number of print colors, where the mandatory copy sits, and whether the pack ships or sits on a shelf. Those four account for most first-run disappointments.
How small a quantity will you quote?
Small runs are normal. We will show you where the fixed costs sit so you can decide what to simplify rather than just quoting a high unit price.
Will the printed color match my design file?
Close, and closer with a Pantone reference printed as a spot ink. A screen emits light and ink reflects it, so an exact match is not physically possible — we send a printed draw-down to approve.
Can I start small and scale the same specification?
Yes, and it is worth designing for. We keep the die and the color references, so a larger reorder is the same product at a lower unit price.
Do you have an Austin facility?
No. We supply Austin brands and ship to Austin addresses; we do not operate premises in the city.
